Calling All Typecasters!

Fresh Ribbon

Found this in the mail this morning:

Hi,

as you are a typecaster… and as I like typecasts… why not contribute to the wikipedia article http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Typecasting_%28blogging%29 ?
It would be a good thing as this article had been selected for deletion. I objected, but now it would need some brushing-up.

Please feel free to forward this to other “typecasters”.

greetings,
Georg

Scheduled for deletion! We can’t let that happen. Besides, it’s time we took a moment to define ourselves and link up. At the very least, everyone who typecasts should be listed under “External Links.”

Tick-tock, my friends.

  1. I was just on that wikipedia site the other day…its seemed to be alive and good.Hmmm…I'd love to get linked, but I don't want to be the first…my typecast site is still an infant and I don't yet consider myself a typecaster.

  2. I added to the Wikipedia site this morning. It's easy. All you do is make an account, then click on the tabs at the top of the page to begin editing. In addition to linking specific examples of typecasting, we need more headings – history, publications (wink, wink, Strikethru), that sort of thing.

  3. Yeah, Cheryl and Alan need to get on that. I find myself using wikipedia way more than I would like. It'd be nice to know the 'definitive' typecasting article was written by actual practicers of the art and – let's just be honest – those who pretty much invented the thing.(word verif = \”exogi\”, the gelatinous substance that's expelled from your sub-sandwich when you take too aggressive a bite.)
